Ike, the problem is, that we could crash ANYTIME. the next few weeks would be ideal for major dislocations...just a guess, coupled with a few technical observations.

oil will fall Ike.. ya gotta price in a US recession and slowed world recovery. i think it can pop to 25 one more time but maybe not.

" oil going down is like a tax break.." Yes but remember that
oil price has DOUBLED and better since march, pump prices up 30%
and that is like a tax increase ... which hasn't yet affected the economy. We had our "tax break" and inflation-resitant coating when
the dollar was at 125-140 yen. Now with dollar at 105, Japanese are
the ones with a tax break vis-a-vis oil, oil producers are getting
stuck with the tab and US import market will no longer be such an easy mark.
