Nothing like a wild ride to give one full appreciation for the saddle. The saddle with respect to oil (and oil dependent companies) is the relentless trend toward higher and higher oil prices. Obviously, the price of oil had overshot the mark throughout the entire month of September but this precipitous price drop in early October only foretells of the relative brevity of the current prices below the trendline. Next week we get a first glimpse of 3rd quarter profits with ESV scheduled to report on Thursday and DO scheduled to report on Friday. Would love to know the numbers, right Oilbabe?
