Wireless Local Loop Systems In Nigeria

LAGOS, Nigeria, October 8, 1999 - Adicom Wireless Inc., a Silicon
Valley- based Advanced CDMA' (A-CDMA) wireless local loop (WLL)
systems provider, today announced a large-scale project with Lagos,
Nigeria-based Mobitel Ltd. that will provide phone and data services
to several thousand subscribers in Lagos and other large Nigerian
cities.

With a population in excess of 100 million, Nigeria is planning
significant growth in its telecommunication infrastructure. Mobitel Ltd.
has made an initial purchase of a six thousand-line integrated
wireless access solution, comprising the Aditus WLL system and
Aditus switching platform SI2000, for deployment starting in January
2000. The Aditus WLL system features the company's A-CDMA
technology and is integrated using digital V5.2 interface with
Adicom's Aditus switching platform SI2000. The integrated wireless
access network will be interfaced to the Nigerian PSTN utilizing
country-specific SS7 protocol.

providing much needed communications services to the citizens of
Nigeria," stated Charles Joseph, who is the President and CEO of
Mobitel. Mobitel is a provider of wire- line telephone services in some
of Nigeria's major cities. Using Adicom's Aditus system, the
company will be able to rapidly and cost effectively expand its
networks within Lagos, Abuja and other Nigerian cities over the
months to come.
