KZ, thread... found the following on Yahoo. Surely Dell would have had time to pull the add unless it's true, as jdassoc indicated: Money Magazine by: airrmbsman 24835 of 24835 Alas everyone. Here is what we were waiting for.... In the Nov. 1999 issue, Dell has a full page ad on p59 and I quote..."Your heart beats like an overheated jackhammer. Sweat forms on your forehead. Your dilated left eye twitches. It's just another normal afternoon sitting in front of your Dimension XPS B Series Desktop. It's normal because the new motherboard on this system, combined with RDRAM, offers up to 166% performance gain over earlier systems." etc, etc, etc (only $1799 complete!). RMBS stock should be over $200 by now and taking the world by storm. It still amazes me how this possibly fatal mess up could happen with the likes of Intel, Dell, Samsung, etc. behind it. I've got my shares and holding, hoping this is just a bad dream....
