<< Is Ugate made available for cable modem technology, not only xDSL ? >>

Hi Jean,

I just took a quick look at their web site,

umax.com

and they now call it the Ugate-plus Cable/Adsl modem sharing gateway. As long as you have an Ethernet interface from your ISP you should be ok. They have the user manual available on their web site, so you may want to look that over before making a decision.

They also had a product review paper that I scanned real quickly, and it appears that their may be a problem with Road Runner cable modems. They implied that a work around is available, but I didn't pursue further.

I noticed that they now also have a new product called the Ugate-3000 which integrates a 4 port hub into the box so you can avoid buying an additional hub, assuming you can get by with 4 ports.

Have fun,

Regards,

DN
