<I wish it would get on again because I consider these current problems to be a distraction from the long term problems which will eventually cause disruption for Intel/Rambus plans for the PC industry>

You are quit specific here in wanting Intel/Rambus to fail.

Now KZ you reveal yourself not to be objective, but malicious. Again, I ask you to state honestly who you work for. You have stated everything else without hesitation. You appear calm on the outside, but very angry & resentful on the inside which comes out in your posting, both in the frequency by which you post & the words you select. It goes beyond a friendly warning from a concerned former Rambus shareholder with 31 years in the semiconductor field trying to help others who don't understand what you do.

>>I think the fact that the solution has not been announced yet must be due to one of two possibilities:
1. They want to be very, very certain that the 2 RIMM products are solid as a rock before announcing.
2. The 2 RIMM solution doesn't work either.

this makes sense. but the real answer is that intel wants to make sure the three slot is rock solid. hard rock cafe hear we come.

KZ:>>500 posts in the first 24 hours and about 400 will be directed at me claiming that I've been proven wrong.<<

No matter which way it goes, I respect your posts. While I may not necessarily agree with all of them, I see you as neither long or short, but rather factual as you see it based on your honest and educated interpretation of the problem. That being said we won't know who is right or wrong until we hear from the talking heads at Intel and Rambus. In any event if the problem is solved don't look for any posts from me saying you were wrong. Have a nice vacation.
