Do you think dislike of homosexuals did not exist until the word "homophobia" was invented?

Only before it is sodomites. But we need to be politically correct......

You are probably correct. There was a strong Zionist intellectual movement in the late 19th century when many pamphlets, articles, and books came out in support of a Jewish state. The term was probably coined at that time.

There was a play that debuted in the early 60's, I think the playwright was Bertoldt Brecht, I'm not sure. The main thrust of the play was it named Pope Pius XII as a collaborator in the genocide of Jews in WWII. Pius had enjoyed a good reputation until others in media picked up on the calumny raised in that play. I believe the play introduced the term anti-Semite to the broad public.

Homophobia is another nonsense word. What does it mean? Fear of men? Fear of sameness? Maybe I'm dense, but I don't get it.
