Fred. Sell side analysts who recommend a stock strongly and proceed to upgrade its earnings over time are loved. On the other hand, if they initially overestimate earnings and are forced to downgrade earnings, they stiffle price appreciation and make brokerage customers unhappy.

In life it is better to deliver more than you promise rather than promise more than you deliver.

If you could speak with some buy side analysts, I would expect theur earnings estimates to be higher.

Am I missing something? Or are the figures for 9/2000 way off.
