Rather interesting thread....
"LostCircuits BBS: CPU: Athlon is simply great

when it comes to stability. On both the MSI and the ASUS mobo I haven't had any crashes or Bluescreens.
Totally untypical PC-feeling- really.

In the beginning of Super7 there were numerous incompatibilities, nothing left on this cool platform.

Nice job AMD!

I 2nd that. That is, if you stay below 111MHz (for me) FSB on the Asus. :(

Yes, I have noticed that also. The K7 is very stable.
It's hard to describe, but it has a totaly different feel to it. Smooth

The Athlon has been a wonder for me to say the least. I started on the Super 7 soon after it came out and
was used to crashes all the time. I just accepted it and went on. Now that I have had the Athlon running all
this time with no problems, it is almost shocking and amazing to me. Of course I really can't complain about
Super 7, as the Tyan S1598 was relatively trouble free when compared to products of a year ago."

Why is the Athlon so stable?
