Good question- EWD has significant jump on the competition,
being leaders in the field of Wireless Internet Dispatch.
That is why they got a huge contract with Southern Linc it seems.
It is a case of being the first experts in the marketplace, and it is a race to establish yourself to get customers first in this market.

I am long and holding for the next contract announcement.

"When wireless data becomes common and cheap" is when eDispach.com will hopefully set the standard in the very specialized dispatch software market. the "more common and cheap" the distribution becomes, the more ubiquitous the service offering. The very fact that the smart phone hand held devises are common and cheap, allows the eDispatch distribution model to exist. That in conjunction with the ever decreasing price points in wireless data, make the distribution model viable. It could not happen any other way. The technological "stars have lined up" in much the same way that we could never download desk top software off the inter net until the price point dropped for ISP services. Some companies like Sun Microsystems are now planning to give the software away free and make up the revenue in other areas. Will EWD eventually get bought out by a large telco who can then turn around and offer the service free to corporate clients as a sign-up bonus?? (pure speculation)Who knows? What matters today is: Does the eDispatch technology perform, is it a compelling application to corporate users, and can it generate some revenues today? Some big Billion $ US & Canadian companies seem willing to go from beta tests to signed commercial accounts . We need to drill down and do more due diligence. we need to watch and see the performance. Good things come to those who wait, but those who wait too late sometimes find that floats get tight, and stocks get bid up. Pretty virgins have any number of suitors knocking on the door and in my opinion the door won't stay closed forever.
