Dave, You know, you are right in two respects. 1) There was a little rancor in that period after the fall and Carl was probably the number 1 "offender" among the Bears. 2) You are also right that I didn't read too much of that stuff -- for whatever reason I didn't feel it would enlighten me too much. My guess is that Carl was probably not willing to be told to sit humbly by while being goaded by the losing side for having made a good call. Just my impression from not having been there. But I think you will admit that prior to the fall the discussion was on a pretty decent plane. And yes, of course, it's not over yet -- at least from my limited view. But I know I'll be a mere spectator from here on out. w
