Zechariah prophecies about the BRANCH coming to build the temple of the Lord and rule as a priest upon his throne forever. What was this temple that the anointed "man" called the Branch was to establish?

Zech. 6
"12": And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the
LORD:

"13": Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his throne; and he shall be a priest upon his throne: and the counsel of peace shall be between
them both.

Jesus fulfills the prophecy of Zechariah by building the eternal temple of God through his Crucifixion, death and Resurrection.
The temple that Christ built was the Church, the holy Body of Christ.
Jesus rules eternally as King over this Kingdom of the heart. It is by our faith in Christ and His Cross that we enter into this temple and become the temple of God.

""16": And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

"17": And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

"18": And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

"19": And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
