The bond market is closed Monday. The New York and Nasdaq stock market will be open, however, with regular trading hours.

PMS Witch Re: Market open/closed: Here is the scoop from Schwab trading site:

"Columbus Day Holiday, October 11, 1999

Please be advised that October 11, 1999, is a Federal
holiday in observance of Columbus Day.

Although this is a trading day, it is not a settlement day.
Equity trades placed October 6 through October 9 will
settle one day later than the standard three business
days.

Use caution when placing Mutual Fund trades. Although
most funds will be open on October 11, some funds will
not trade due to bank closures. Also, due to Treasury
closure, Government Bonds will not trade.

Canadian Markets closed Monday October 11, 1999
for the Canadian Thanksgiving day."

Cheers
Alohal
