hi all...barrons this weekend had a nice review of the market and its darling stocks circa 73/74...interesting to recall some of the darlings then, it also reminded me of dome petroleum , a local favourite, now not in existence...
there was a note in there about how Buffett has been unable to put his cash horde to work...

i get a technical mkt letter here and the fellow is suggesting its time to look at canadian banks...we only have 5 major banks here, the pe's are relatively low and the dividends relatively decent..this fellow feels the mkt will be ok till jan/feb 00 and then we may see the 'sell of a generation'...he also writes in a local paper and felt the oils are going to be taking a 'rest'...
