DoubleD, OK the bullion banks and CBs might cover and
I agree that that may have a short term impact on the POG,
2-4 months? or as long as it will take for them to cover.

However a few small mining companies are not going
to influence it. ASL is small ( in the relative size
of the world market ).

The bigger players I believe are too sophisticated and played their hands well I ( and Merrill GG, ) believe.

If we are proven wrong well so what's new.

I have already made 10% on ABX trading in 2 weeks. Not bad.
It is important to diversify in gold stocks if you invest.
This way you are not caught shorthanded with any.
I have about 7 now and try and concentrate on the
bigger players only and the ones that appear less hedged,

DoubleD: Perception. Perception. Very important.Sometimes perception is reality.

I believe that already the perception is that inflation
is crawling in. The Big Institututions are not dummies.
The Fidelities the Merrills etc, etc.

They can make big mistakes ( Long Term Capital Managem
and 3rd World Debt last year ) but they have enough
folks working for them that sooner or later they recover.

I am sure that JPMorgan can dust off any old timer who
will tell them about the run up of Gold in the 70 and
they can review their outlook and adjust their investments.

Even ole '49r here may get a call from JPMorgan one of these
days, shed her overalls and put a decent suit on to show up
on Wall Street and give them advice. ( she is going to have
to be briefer though in her presentations ),

back later;
go see the kid play,

:)
