<<Double click on "Regional settings" icon (look for the little world globe), not the date and time icon. >>

For those that have that Windows you need to set it for DDMMYYYY.

Thanks very much. I'll pass it on to my husband. Our home PC which runs Windows 95 was NOT Y2K COMPLIANT (as far as I know). Although I thought he wrote a program to correct this problem, I WAS WRONG.

Instead he looked at various settings. I don't know what he has done.

Personally, I think he made a big fuss about the PC at home because HE THOUGHT THAT I WOULD LET HIM BUY A NEW PC.

I told him to forget it cuz I am not going to let him spend the money for a new home PC when he has a PC at work, a workstation at work ,and he has access to an entire lab at work that has sophisticated computer equipment. If he needs a computer that badly, he can drive to the office. We only live 10 minutes from his work place.

His PC at work runs Sun Microsystem's Solaris 7. He has tested it and determined that it is Y2K compliant.

Thanks very much for the help.

I wish I knew why Windows 95 locks up my PC. The other day I tried 3 times to log into my brokerage account. I got the little blue dialog boxes that said I had performed an illegal operation.

Finally, I gave up and shut off the computer. This is the only way I know how to get around the problem.

Best wishes,

Mephisto
