You are looking solely at the US market. You have to add in Europe, where Athlons are selling like hot cakes at the moment. (I guess because Intel's influence is weaker and also there is a stronger bargain-hunting mentality.) Given that, a million/q is easily doable if AMD can deliver them and motherboards are available.

Also a big fat Compaq Athlon on the end cap at Office Depot today.
All this reminds me of last year this time when AMD was gaining market share with the K6-2. I don't see the process problem like last year. (Holding breath)
