Hi Steve. I'm sure you are a very nice fellow despite your political leanings. In order to allow me to keep my promise to CB (no more bashing) why don't we do us both a favor and drop the subject. Translation: he's not going to cite a source for it, and he'd rather have you ignore it. However, I would like to point out that while engaged in argument with E about Reagan, I did come across several journalistic sources, which I did not save, which did give anecdotal support to his contention. I think, however, it's worthy of further investigation. I'd be interested in knowing just when the Russians finally had to admit to themselves that they couldn't keep up with us in the arms race, I think it was probably longer ago than they care to admit to anyone. Russian technology seems pitifully backward to us now, at any rate.
