We went to dinner, Tom and I, at a little French bistro in the West End. Friday had been his last day, so this was to celebrate. Years later we still laugh at the encounter with the fortune teller.

Being A Writer Aint As Easy As It Looks

Words all around me and not a complete sentence anywhere; verblessness rampant nowadays, in some quarters anyway.

Nouns working at chasing verbs until they become participles (or was that a gerund...?? Working women [of the secretarial kind] might know).

Editors excising words, rearranging punctuation putting one in mind of: "Excuse me Mr. Picaso, did you really want that painting to look like that?"

Right.
