Steve, In a sense I agree with you it is active....there is a fan, however I use it in the context that there is a heat transfer mechanism other than diffusion and fan enhanced convection at work. Apparently there is a degree of confusion. So what then is a peltier effect or an evaporative fluid cooling mechanism called to differentiate it from active cooling without saying peltier cooling or evap...etc.....a catch all descriptor.??
