I wasn't complaining. I liked the poem-story (or story-poem if you prefer). And most poems are indeed stories. Or at least written still lifes which capture a moment in words.

I haven't read/all the thread/so some of the inside jokes/may go over my head. (How an object which is 'inside' can go 'over the head' of anyone is beyond me, but we'll let that one go for the moment.)

As for whether or not it was a real effort: All efforts are real; all writing is serious, even at its funniest. As I said before, I think jokes, good ones, the kind people get and laugh at, may take more effort than other forms.

As for you being capable of much more, well maybe we need to start a 100 words or less thread for the "more" you speak of.
