"At this point do you think one is better off sticking with a potential king such as NTAP or possibly switch to something like GMST."

Len. Good question. The answer is "yes". <g> I think NTAP has years of 80% growth to go so I am staying with it for a while. IMO, NTAP is the King of NAS, as EMC is the King of SAN. They are colliding in the margins for some healthy competition.

GMST is a potentially a Gorilla, or already is. This will be declared with our brilliant hindsight over the next few months. I think GMST is a young Gorilla with a fabulous future.

So...hold royalty lightly, as I do NTAP. The Gorillas I hold and with all the money I am making with them, I can afford to hold them!

NTAP has been very quiet lately. We are waiting to see how the Dell relationship is working out. I am a bit pessimistic about Dell's ability to sell SAN and NAS, but I do not feel that NTAP needs them anyway. NTAP has a CSCO-like sales force that can/is taking up the slack just fine.

otoh, NTAP's value chain continues to lenghten and strengthen, but I won't bore the thread with the details. Just visit their web site (http://www.netapp.com).

Hope that helps.
