Ten: First, let me thank you directly for your excellent reporting on MPF. Your new info on CUmine 800EB benchs is very interesting. Certainly good scalability, but even more interesting, perhaps 800EB will be here sooner rather than later, hmmm?

On the Athlon front, you might be interested in reports of an actual experiment in pre-fetch code optimization reported on JC's page about three days ago. Large data sets saw >40% improvement on heavily FP code. Also, a gentleman named Haim Barad who has worked on code optimization for Intel suggested that if the opcodes for prefetch were identical for the Athlon, then it could benefit from optimization done for Intel chips; I have since seen an AMD interview which said that in fact the opcodes were identical. This is key, I think, since I agree that AMD will lose any 'either-or' choice in current software dev.
