Since I haven't followed or belonged to this organization. I will take your word for it (without proof)that they changed their charter and beliefs toward women. It would be nice to know the exact wording of what it used to be for me to get a better picture though. Sometimes in large organizations, the local members can incorrectly represent the larger organizational goals or beliefs.
