Stew;

<<Could you state the incompatibility problems? I have been stalking the retail chains for over two years. IPG sales have grown from a few hundred to well over 100,000/month at present.>>

At Circuit City the salesman told me he couldnt get the guide on his TV to work at all.

He only had a few models above $1500 with guides in them (RCA and Proscans I think) and had no idea what interactive was. And this was salesman #3 which the other guys handed me off to.

I did see a few huge TV's with something about a guide on them but they couldn't get them to do anything interesting.

The manager thought that maybe interactive was a platinum? set top box at $800 that they have never carried.

My thinking was that the TV Guide and Gemstar guides were not compatable, and so they used the guide on whatever the TV was hooked up to.

If a person doesn't have a large number of channels to deal with the guide has no purpose, if you have many channels whoever is selling them to you provides the guide.

I don't doubt your position,I'm just trying to get a handle on where this thing is. Is the guide revenue >2% part close?

Can we add the 2+ million TVG and the 600K+ Gemstar guides together going for the 5 million that will attract Madison Ave?

Thanks
Doug
