My only caution is, why the hell hasn't it gone through? They have been down there talking to them for 5 months!

My sources would seem to want me to believe that:

They're made for each other.
He wants to marry her. She wants to marry him.

But they're having trouble with a few things.

The size of the dowry, for one.

And the placement of a few important commas and a choice word or two in the pre-nuptial agreement, for another.

They're still likely to tie the knot. Probably soon.
But it's the little details that have been keeping the preacher at bay so far.

Patience on this one. It'll be worth the wait, I think.

(Geneva would be a good place to announce the engagement, though, wouldn't you think?)

As I have said before on the thread, awhile back Siemens wanted to buy the whole company. It didn't want to pay enough and they could never make a deal. Then, I think they sought to buy the infra division or maybe handset; again, lots of talk but the parties could never work out a deal. These negotiations are perhaps more important to the long-term prospects of the company than were the Ericy negotiations. Qcom needs some kind of long-term relationship that will assure it the chip business.
