Lord and Ladyship of the Manor of Colmers in the county of Worcestershire.
A manor from the 13th century, first belonged to Walter de Colmer in 1280 & to his son John in 1327. Robert Gower entered into possession of the manor before 1599, when he died seised of it. His son John had livery on it in 1602 & died in 1625.

In 1689 it passed to William Gower, he & his wife were among Roman Catholic non jurors who refused after the insurrection of 1715, to take the oath of fealty to George I (ruled 1714-1727). John Gower son of William left it, in 1720 to his brother William Gower. Elder William was killed in a duel in 1736 & the manor passed to Edward Thomas Hawkins who assumed the name Gower. He died unmarried & Colmers belonged in 1788 to Thomas Hawkins son of John who in that year sold it to George Atwood.
