Deum, your first question about NITE:. . .I believe the whole online broker sector will come back in a big way before the end of the year. . .and they will drag NITE along for the ride. . . ECNs aren't that big a threat YET. . . and I don't believe they will be allowed to walk away with so much market share without quite a fight. . . I believe the fight will end up in court at some point. . .and there will be some dramatic changes in the way and time transactions are processed. . . perhaps hopefully to confuse investors. . .OLBs already offer after hours trading, which is silly, because they only add one hour. . . so the last hour and the 3 or so early hours are still not offered. . . but that is "just enough" to keep the lions share of the market from looking elsewhere. . . .anything to confuse the issue. Your second question is about my number 1 long-term hold without an eye on market fluctuation. . . that is a hard one. . .because it depends on your exit strategy. T, of course is the obvious choice, because the goal is several years out. INTC will fluctuate, but is also one that I have high hopes for . . .well into the broadband years. . .this is due to their diversification and investments. The more aggressive group of long-terms would be a basket of broadbands. . . ADAP [I added even more on the further breakout today. . can you believe it?] . . . HLIT, CNXT, ANTC, NXTL, COVD, NPNT, QCOM . . I am not as bullish on traditional internets as on the broadband infrastructure stocks. . . and if there are still doubters in the crowd. . . just look the percentage rate, by which those 8 stocks outpaced the rest of the market today. . . quite incredible. . . then look at charts of those and other broadbands. . . and compare it to the S&P . . .it is hilarious.
