Women.com IPO set to debut within lower range
NEW YORK, Oct 11 (Reuters) - Women.com Networks Inc.'s
initial public offering, which had been postponed in August,
has been revived and is set to debut late this week but at a
lower price range, according to lead underwriter Morgan Stanley
Dean Witter.
The San Mateo, Calif.-based firm, an Internet network
focused on women, plans to offer 3.75 million shares in a range
of $8 to $10. The Internet network dedicated to women had
previously expected to price the deal in a range of $10 to $12.
Women.com has relationships with the Hearst Corp. and
Rodale Press Inc., which allows the network to print content
from those firms' magazines. It also has online distribution
pacts with America Online Inc. <AOL.N>, Microsoft Corp.
<MSFT.O> and Lycos Inc. <LCOS.O>.
Hearst representatives will comprise half of Women.com's
board of directors, according to the company's prospectus.
