Ed, this is great news, I was hearing bits and pieces about this breakthrough. I had posted to the thread that Maxam development was ongoing. Glad to see Dale tell us and the market about it. It's no secret that fire assay of the desert dirts is a problem, that's because elements like iridium plume the other precious metals away during a fire assay. Maxam has learned about a chemical that directly precipitates pure gold out of the leach without the need for carbon or resins. That precipitate process can be used for both assay and recovery. This is huge! Global could be in production tomorrow with this knowledge IMO. Maybe MG would also be shipping metal.
I believe the reference of the JV with the major mining company is in the evaluation stage of Maxam samples of their ore. This could be the opportunity we have all been looking for with Maxam. However, in any event, I suspect that Maxam now is in the cat bird seat for direct gold recovery, something that other dirt wannabes will be interested in learning about, for a price. <VBG>
