Odd thing was after I held my dad's hand when his aneurism burst and watched his eyes glaze over I quickly lost my desire to hunt. I wouldn't mind shooting the coons as much if I could do the head shot. Bang, they're dead, but the blood spooks the horses. When you live outta town there are some jobs that you have to do, like them or not.

Neocon, Sounds ghastly to me too. Even when I have prepared fish, I cover their eye with tin foil, so they aren't looking up at me as I chop their head off. Of course they're already dead anyhow. But there's something about that eye looking up at you that bothers me. I could easily become a vegetarian, as long as I could still have cheese and other dairy products. Colleen
