Dan,

I had a failed business back in 1992 that cost me more money than the worst drawdown ever from trading.

As you know, every successful trader says it's the most difficult accomplishment of their lives. No kidding. It's never been any different, from Jesse L up to the present. The mental discipline is actually one of the biggest attractions of trading as the "best and brightest" in other walks of life see it as the ultimate intellectual challenge.

And the math is simple: the high failure rate keeps a nice pool of cash out there for the survivors to jump on.

I quite agree, excellent post Alan.

It's time that the politicians realize that they are NOT protecting investors, they are supporting one inefficient business to detriment of another

lol....That's what politicians do, they call it government.
