too bad the rebate doesn't go back to Jan. 1... could just take off the rest of the year if it did..

Gerald, the more I think about it, the more it make sense....its just the rebate gets treated as ordinary income instead of part of the capital gain or loss.

I doubt the $75 for opening the account is taxable, but I'm not a tax lawyer.

Anyone else having significant errors with Etrade tonight?
