Richard - saw your comments over on the MXAM thread and here re: the "catbird seat". Aren't you forgetting that ANY significant advance by ANY dirt helps further the cause of of credibility for ALL dirts? Are you still stuck in that tired old zero-sum paradigmatic thinking? Sure seems that way. I always thought you were a smart guy. Taken as a whole, your postings have been (IMO) very strong against Global's chances for success and very positive on MXAM's, when in reality if one looks at the news releases of each over time it's clear they are and have been roughly in the same general ballpark of development, with Gippy perhaps holding a slight lead over time - that is unless you know something the rest of us don't and are holding out on us! You appear uncritically credulous when MXAM makes ambitious claims about a one-stop shop leaching, but when Gippy indicated recently that they could recover the same dot-four-nines in a two-stop shop, that had to be preposterous and so you ridiculed it: "Remember, it's just a little plant. Probably a tent, paring knife for the onion, and a plastic bag to keep the cook from crying." The MXAM thread is your baby (and you own over 300k shares), but these probably have nothing to do with your bell-ringing for them! And your attitude against Global is almost certainly unrelated to your selling Global at a loss - not! So now you're grinding an axe of bias on both edges, one a bit too cozy, the other a bit too cynical. IMO both companies will probably flourish - and, don't be surprised to even see them cooperating at some point. As disappointing as this might be for you, Dick and Dale have spoken about possibilities of mutual benefit in the past and I can only assume that there remains half a chance they may again in the future. These companies are not enemies, and not even rivals. Anything akin to that is a creation of your imagination, or just bitter gall. If Global happens to start priming their cash flow pump a bit sooner than Maxam, Maxam's stock price will actually benefit from this, as will the whole sector. I happen to own both of them - think about it. Regards & Good hunting, Scott
