Voltaire, take an aspirin, a stiff shot, and get some sleep. Must totally disagree with your analysis of margin versus marriage. The best investment(s) I have ever made were in my wife, my kids, and my homes. They don't return financial reward, they return emotional reward. They don't require financial investments (those are sunk costs), they require emotional investment. Like LTBH, marriage requires commitment and "buy on the dips" (solve the problems). The result is the biggest Gorilla investment return in life--unconditional love and spiritual fulfillment. Sorry yours didn't work out. Gotta chose the right stocks and be willing to stick with them.

Having been blessed on this board with his upstanding, honorable, and noble views on women, love, marriage, and the virtues of family life, I hereby nominate Voltaire to be the founding and charter member of the very first Internet chapter of Promise Keepers. Inside sources confirm that he recently applied for an honorary membership in the National Organization for Women, but was turned down by Gloria Steinem due to his views not being considered sufficiently sexist.
