I don't think there is much question that IFCI is getting some strong institutional support. Not sure who though. However, the hit they take in the last (3rd) quarter earnings should not effect Year 2000 earnings, and may actually help it out, if they are getting rid of a non-core area that isn't that profitable (e.g., utility upgrades). And if I was to speculate, maybe some group interested in providing coverage told IFCI management that they wanted all the possible charges and unprofitable entities cleared out of the way first. That 40% bounce is impressive. It is acting like someone might provide significant coverage in the next couple months or so.
We'll see.
