Bux, management is still the same since they made previous mistakes.

Not true. Some are still there, some are new. 3Com management is younger, on average, than management teams from other multi-national corporations. Many are in their early forties. I think this lack of experience has contributed to some of the previous mistakes you are referring to but people do learn from their mistakes and 3Com has also brought in some new blood with more experience. I'm not going to argue that 3Com has outstanding management but I do think they are bright and capable and I will not lose any sleep wondering if they are going to make another mistake. The position they are in is too good for me to pass up at this price. Time will tell.

. Don't think that just because a stock is out of favor, the market is wrong.

I didn't say or imply that.

Being early in QCOM was a good call...but it doesn't mean that translates to COMS.

I didn't say that either! I was pointing out that I tend to buy a stock too early, ie., it goes down before it goes up. I first bought QCOM at 31 (split adjusted) and it went down to 19 before it went up. It was still a good investment. If 3Com goes down but the reasons I bought it are still intact, I will hold it.
