<<< its services business should eventually grow from about 11 percent of total revenues to as much as 50 percent, though he didn't
specify when.>>>
So if present revenue is $24 bil/yr and service part is $2 bil,
and grows to 50% total then service would become uuuuuuuuum
ah $12 bil or a growth rate of 600%. When gross revenue doubles to $50 bil( 2 years or who knows) service may be $25 bil/yr or a 12X growth.
These are really gross figures which I have missused here
to the extent that we don't know when the growth may happen.
Still, somebody should notify the bears they have a major
problem with an argument that Dell is now too large to grow
at its historic rates.
Sig

Hi Everyone...

Sig is an original member of the thread...a very close friend and someone who I enjoy listening to...Sig has done some math here...read his math closely...He is someone who has taught me many lessons on DELL...of the many....the most significant thing I can ever remember Sig telling me is: "he's never been right yet"...He's always low...
:o)

Best, Kemble
