jim, I second your suggestion; i'm one of the foolish ones who still chooses to smoke (MY choice, no nasty tobacco company forcing me to purchase their product) as well as a strong Second Amendment supporter. I'd love to see the politically incorrect industries that are providing product that the consumer chooses to purchase just say "to hell with you" and close down their domestic production. If i recall correctly wasn't there something about tobacco taxes involved way back when in Boston Harbor? If we want prohibition again, i wish the congresscritters would have the guts to admit that what they are really heading toward is a super-nanny-state where no one has any personal responsibility and Hillary and friends will keep our warm fuzzy cocoons all spiffed up to their liking, rather than letting the trial lawyers, soft-headed judges, and empty-headed jurors jam it down our throats a small step at a time. (if they were up-front about it, at least I'd have a reason to justify packing). Regarding Colt, were I a stockholder, I'd have to applaud their move; it's only good business when the environment has become such that you are legally liable for someone misusing your product which functions precisely as designed.
