Scientific-Atlanta Inc. (SFA 53 7/8 +2 3/4) SoundView reiterated its "strong buy" rating and increased its price target from $60 to $75... However, report that MediaOne will kick off cable TV set-top box trials in December that will incorporate technology from hardware maker Divicom and software developer Canal Plus bares watching closely as it will give cable providers ability to swap boxes... Could result in pricing pressures for leading set-top box providers such as SFA and General Instruments (GIC).
