SI,

Actually I haven't had a chance to do full dd on the MRV product line. I notice that you have a good comparison of Areana vs RBAK but RBAK is not the market leader. It would be interesting to see it compared against equivalent CSCO and ALA products.

As for voice QoS - this is critical. Given that the move is to PPPoA the support of rtVBR is critical and I think this is supported however it isn't obvious. Also, from a PPPoE perspective there is no mention of RSVP, RSVP+ or DiffServ. I know that you said it was there but I can't find in on the product brochure.

What about hooks into directories - is this LDAP capable or is schema supported on NDS or AD directories? What about provisioning over non-native environment or support from an external provisioning engine/server?

Anyway, I should reserve comment until I complete a full dd and I'm not going to get to it anytime soon. I need to complete a dd on FDRY, JNRP, SYCR, and ATON first...

I would not base expectations on RBAK's success...but then I also have no reason to not. It just seems that RBAK hit a good air pocket.
