John, LTV and BS. basically their cash reserves plus the scrap value of their assets is where their stocks are currently trading at. LTV trades at 1/3 of book value...they look incredibly cheap here. i've set my sights on the titanium stocks now, namely RTI...there's a huge short position in the stock and it's also very cheap now. but i'm still watching and waiting on that one. re: steel, let me say that i fully expect protectionism to rear it's ugly head eventually in view of the burgeoning trade deficit and the steels will be the first to profit from that.
