NEC and IBM do not have any of the Best Buy Athlon systems on their websites though.

Odd.
Probably Intel strongarm tactics...........

That may be....but all I can tell you is that Best Buy has an NEC with Athlon inside. It was also in the Sunday Best Buy circular (I'd be happy to scan the ad). It was on the "extra" wrap-around addition to the circular. Maybe this rollout is initially east coast only?
