Argentina's Largest Internet Service Provider Unifies Network Management With SPECTRUM
Ciudad Internet Deploys Multivendor Management Solution to Enhance Quality of New Services Offerings
GENEVA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1999-- Telecom `99 (booth #1111) - SPECTRUM today announced that Ciudad Internet, Argentina's largest Internet Service Provider (ISP), has selected SPECTRUM as its management platform of choice.

Ciudad Internet is using SPECTRUM's multivendor management expertise to replace multiple management products. According to Miguel Fernandez, Network and Operations Manager for Ciudad Internet, ``The SPECTRUM solution has significantly increased quality and reliability of the services we offer our customers.'

Ciudad is also using the SPECTRUM Configuration Manager to dramatically reduce the complexity of introducing new equipment to the network. Fernandez added, ``Ciudad's network is growing rapidly with new equipment being introduced daily. Spectrum allowed us to consolidate six different management products each running on a different screen. SPECTRUM monitors everything we could before with a greater level of granularity--all from a single workstation. The end result is an infrastructure that runs like clockwork and more resources to put towards offering our customers higher quality services.'

``Ciudad's deployment of SPECTRUM is yet another example of the global need for end to end monitoring and management of multivendor networks,' said Michael Skubisz, president of the SPECTRUM Organization. ``The worldwide demand for highly dependable communications services will continue to drive the demand for tools like SPECTRUM that offer customers vendor independent insight into their complex IT infrastructures.'

SPECTRUM solutions can be seen October 10th through the 17th at Telecom '99 in Cabletron's booth (# 1111). Additional information, including pricing, for SPECTRUM and related solutions are available by contacting SPECTRUM sales at 603-337-1588, as well as contacting authorized SPECTRUM resellers worldwide.
