A late letter to a trusted good friend. He was more tentative when he wrote preachers earlier.
I would like to think that he was a unitarian, or even an atheist. But he is slippery. I don't think he ever settled all of this in his mind. He had a capacious and flexible mind.

You keep using one or two of the "founding fathers" letters. GO to oh lets say ALL of the signers of the constitution, and lets see how many quotes we come up with... YOU never said what you thought of Roger Shermans quote?
