Greetings Brian, Thank you for your response, although it is based on man doctrine and certainly not the Word of God. With all due respect Brian I can see you do not really understand covenants according to the Word of God. Your thinking is based on on what "man " wants rather than on what God says. Marriage is a " Lifelong union " between man and woman, death of either party nullifies this covenant. God who spoke through the Apostle Paul, states very clearly the two options, they are; remain in that state of separation from eachother or be reconciled to eachother. Remarriage violates the integrity of the Word of God and man has twisted and perverted the sacred scriptures in order to justify his selfish desires. Jesus Himself said in John 7:17, " If any man is WILLING to do His will, he shall know of the teaching.........". I know this; divorce and remarriage is rampant within the Body of Christ and is an abomination to God. Denominations that once held the sanctity and permanancy of marriage until death have since capitulated under pressure from their members to now allow this abomination of divorce and remarriage to take place. May Almighty God cause them to see their sin and repent. Please note that Jesus said for those who are willing first to do His will ,to them he would show them the truth. It seems today many brethren have their own agenda and can twist scriptures to say just about anything. You certainly are not the first to oppose the scriptures concerning marriage and I'm sure will not be the last. In Honesty before God I would ask you to allow Him to show you the true teaching on Marriage, which is One wife for as long as you live. He who has ears to hear let him hear and obey, in order to honor our Lord Jesus Christ. Robert
