"The company has established short-term and long-term hedges in accordance with the terms of the new loan agreement, which provide for 52,500 ounces of puts for the balance of 1999 at an average price of $251 per ounce and 63,700 ounces of calls at an average price of $276 per ounce. The long-range hedge program covers an additional 155,000 ounces of puts at $261 per ounce from the year 2000 through 2002 and 161,000 additional ounces of calls at $273 through January, 2003."
