You are entirely correct in my opinion, Robert. Platinum's limited usage in catalytic converters, coinage and jewellery will not permit Platinums lofty $100 premium to POG to be maintained in a good old fashioned gold rally. I, too, am awaiting that happy development.

Speaking of platinum, I was most fortunate to acquire a blacksands/platinum separator from an old-timer just a few months back. I swapped some brand new electronic parts I'd picked up at 75c a sack in about a dozen 55gal drum quantities (which I scarfed out the goldplated ones out of before swapping to him) for this machine.

I've photographed its innards, created the parts list and am currently editting the drawings on the how-to-build-it instructions sheet along the lines of the 'Sullivan Office Assemble-It-Yourself Furniture" instruction sheet model for sale currently on MY OWN website. While the gold recycling book reprint rights and inventory have been sold to another company, my homepage now reflects the opportunity to acquire a set of platinum sorter plans.

Roy let me set it up my dandy platinum sorter out at his place this last weekend during the big trommel runs to process MY OWN ORE that I PAID ROY FOR OUT OF MY OWN POCKET. Sure enough, got a nice batch of platinum all ready to low-voltage electrowinn out and sell during the winter months when I'm guessing PLAT will be higher than it is now as well!

Sure in no big hurry to process the platinum when you and I BOTH know that Gold's rally will drag platinum along with it, at least historically it has worked out that way, for short spurts. While my gold recycling is a $20 cost per ounce effort, platinum recovery is a ZERO COST per ounce venture since it is all a by product of my low cost placer mining operations now! What a deal, eh???

PS...Roy sure got a lot of Tell me when those instructions are done" names and address from his trommel buyers and visitors. Roy said he was going to build a bunch of them this winter for on site use by the buyers next season. So, GO POG and GO POP!!!!

While I do NOT EVER RECOMMEND PEOPLE ACQUIRE PLATINUM COINS, at least not in this country where platinum ownership has never caught on, I'm sure not above processing it and selling it to those who think it is cool to own it<VVVBG>
