I have no knowledge of the FCC Act, but I can't imagine what authority the FCC might have to agree to a termination fee to Nextel. Since when do government agencies have the authority to agree to termination payments in a transaction such as this. Sounds illegal to me. Maybe someone has knowledge of the legal support, if any.
