I may be overstepping my boundries, but I feel that unless an international event effects the market directly, like the rising cost of oil, I feel that it will not have much impact at first. Of course over time, if an international event worsens the effects on our market may become more obvious. Simply put, I think that the market only cares about money, even if millions die. Case in point is a war, which some feel is good for the market. seeya
